Jeanne Dufort

Jeanne Dufort is a vote-integrity activist and has been a plaintiff, with Coalition for Good Governance, in several lawsuits that have changed voting procedures in Georgia.

During the battle over HB 316, Georgia’s new voting bill, Jeanne developed the first cost analysis showing that hand-marked paper ballots would be significantly cheaper to purchase and operate than the equipment intensive Ballot Marking Device system.

She is 1st Vice Chair of the Morgan County Democratic Party and has been active in Morgan County governance since moving there in 2002, including serving on the steering committees of the past two Comprehensive Plan cycles.

Jeanne is a member of Indivisible 10.

A retired senior executive from the home furnishings industry, she spent decades working internationally and has significant expertise in cost analysis and supply chain management. In 2005, she created a real estate business with special focus on farms, homes with acreage, lakefront, and historic properties, consistently ranking among the top 10% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide. Jeanne serves on the State and Local Governance committee for Georgia REALTORS®, helping shape their legislative priorities.

Jeanne majored in American Political Science at the University of Chicago — it’s a passion that informs her lifelong commitment to “doing governance.”
