Please join us on December 16 at 5 pm for a ZOOM Town Hall with Daniel Blackman, the 2020 Democratic Nominee for Georgia’s Public Service Commission (PSC) and the third Democrat facing a critical runoff on January 5.
“With your vote on January 5th, we will make it clear that the people of Georgia want lower utility bills, working internet for all of Georgia, investment in clean energy solutions, and a cap on Plant Vogtle cost overruns,” Daniel declares.
“You deserve a fearless voice on Georgia’s Public Service Commission. A voice that will fight for working families and senior citizens. A voice that will not be in the pocket of the fossil fuel industry. A voice that will stand up for our neighbors in coastal, rural, urban, and mountainous Georgia, and protect the health of our families, our climate, and our democracy. I would be honored to be your voice on the Public Service Commission.”
Daniel Blackman is a respected community leader, impact investor, and policy advisor committed to fighting for environmental justice, public health, and political empowerment to uplift America’s most vulnerable communities. For over two decades, Daniel has given voice to the unseen, unheard, and unengaged communities left out of the dialogs surrounding the world’s biggest challenges.
One of his most notable accomplishments was being appointed by the Chairman of the National Wildlife Federation to serve on an Environmental Policy Commission co-sponsored by members of the United States Congress to address renewable energy and public health issues in disadvantaged communities throughout America.
In 2016, Daniel became the first African-American to run for office in Forsyth County, Georgia, and was the 2014 Democratic Nominee for Georgia’s PSC. He is author of the book Nationalism without Compassion, a Board Member at ACLU of Georgia, and an alum of Clark Atlanta University. Learn more at: http://www.danielforgeorgia.c
