Our member of Congress, Earl L. "Buddy" Carter, sought to overturn the results of a free and fair election—and in doing so, encouraged and enabled the deadly mob that attacked Congress and sought to overturn the election results by force.
Every member of Congress who refused to acknowledge the election results committed an act of sedition—and their actions encouraged violence and cost lives.
Can you call Rep. Carter and tell him to resign from Congress for his failure to uphold the Constitution and his role in last week's treasonous violence?
Here's where to call: 1-850-426-4410
Here's a sample message of what you can say:
"Hi! This is [your_name], a constituent calling from Savannah. I'm calling to demand that Rep. Carter resign from the U.S. Congress for objecting to the legal November election results. This objection to the results of the November elections, legally certified by the states and upheld by the judiciary, actively undermined the very democracy the representative took an oath to serve. Rep. Carter cannot both object to our system of government and serve in Congress."
The House is moving to impeach Donald Trump, and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be our president and vice president in nine days. But we cannot have a Congress tainted by Republicans who would support a would-be authoritarian and attempt a coup to overturn election results—all while a violent mob stormed the Capitol. They must resign now.
Thanks for all you do.
